Apparently....

I don't blog enough! It's probably true, i've gotten really out of the blogging habit! but to appease my dear friend, I have decided to provide an update for this new year!

Here goes!

At the end of December, my dear dear friend Delilah passed away. She has been my dear friend since i was 15 1/2. She has also been my car for that long too! I got her for Christmas 2002, and she has given me 8 great years of driving! One day after we had just got a ton of snow, Delilah started making a horrible noise. i thought that it sounded like a chunk of ice stuck up in the tire...so i figured, wait a while for the snow to melt and all will be well...but all was not well! The snow melted, the problem didn't go away and then one day she just died. :(

Here she is, the last time i saw her, as she's getting towed to the junk yard

She was such a good car! Dependable, reliable...yet old, worn down and battered, with a whole bunch of character. Thank you Delilah for the good times! Thank you for your broken door handles, broken radio display, broken cruise control, missing hubcap, 20 dents in your body, cracked windshield, cracked dashboard (you get the idea), it was definitely her time to go!

Welcome Bianca!!
buying a car stinks! i was carless for quite a few weeks before i finally found a car for a good deal. She's a 2000 Mazda 626 and has been getting the job done. I think that i am going to call her Bianca, it hasn't settled on her yet, but i think it's going to stick. She's much newer than Delilah, not everything is broken, she has a CD player and air conditioning! it's a dream come true!! i'm so looking forward to driving this summer! i can road trip and not sweat bullets the whole time! hooray! she's a good little car and i think we are going to have some good years together!

Because i had to get a new car ( i should say new-to-me car) i needed to save some money by not paying rent...and so thanks to the generosity of my incredible parents, i have moved home again! i am actually glad to be here and i'm glad that i got to move back. i love getting to be with my brothers and see my family everyday. i love the love and encouragement that only a family member can offer! i'm so lucky i have the family i do!

I think from December 2010 to May 2011 is going to be what i call wedding season. definitely not your typical wedding season, but it's going to be for me! On December 31st, my dear friends Josh and Jessica got married!! HIP HIP HOORAY! i'm so excited for these two! they are my dear friends in Nampa, i have known them since high school and am so glad that i got to be a part of their special day! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Valencia!

Love you guys!

More weddings! My two brothers are getting married! so there is a lot of wedding talk and business and shopping! i've had some experience with weddings, not my own mind you, but a bagillion of my friends have so i have a lot of ideas so i've been helping out with wedding preparations! Wedding dress shopping is one of my favorites and i got to go with both of my future sister-in-laws! LOVE IT!
